After nearly a decade of interviewing bestselling and debut authors right here, every week, I’ve shifted my focus a bit.
First of all, I should say, I absolutely LOVED this part of my work. Connecting with authors, publicists, and readers has been an ultimate joy.
There’s something so satisfying to connect the right reader to the right book at the right time.
Why change a good thing?
It’s really about growth. The online world of books has exploded in recent years. TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Bookshop.org…there’s a platform for everything. Driving traffic to a blog seemed, well…outdated. Plus, it was time for me to grow as a writer.
What I’m doing instead:
I’m still interviewing authors! It just might be less frequently. It might be through a literary journal. If that happens, you’ll find it linked to my “Musings & Meanderings” page.
I’ll be sharing reviews, reels, and book photography on Instagram and Twitter. Why not find me there?
What about the all archives?
Glad you asked! You can search for all of the authors I’ve hosted since 2013 right here, on this site by going to the ‘search’ field/magnifying glass. Type in the author or title you might be searching for and I just might have it! You might also try searching my Bookshop.org ‘shop,’ Always with a Book. It’s organized by Month/Year. Titles often correspond to interviews posted on this website.
Which authors might I find?
At one count, I had something like 600 interviews. Sometimes you’ll find the same author has returned, with a new title. Here’s a sampling: Mary Kubica, Christina Baker Kline, Caroline Leavitt, Heather Gudenkauf, Thomas Christopher Greene, Meredith Hall, Chris Bohjalian, Kristin Hannah, Shari Lapena, Helen Phillips, Elizabeth Brundage–but memoirists and nonfiction and children’s titles also populate the archive.

That’s not all!
You can still get a mini-interview, delivered to your in-box each week (or so), when I add a new Musings & Meanderings.
What’s Musings & Meanderings?
This is where I’ll post new content. Think of it as a newsletter about the reading & writing life…updates, book recommendations, creative self-care, tips on writing craft, retreats, continuing ed, recently-published fiction or CNF, submission calls, and ‘4 questions,’ a condensed version of author interviews, like I’ve done in the past. So check back–or subscribe–you’ll get these right to your in-box and never miss out.
It’s been a …
Joy & Privilege
to share these in-depth author interviews with you. Thank you for being part of my bookish journey.
Let’s Keep in Touch!
